Bollenstreek (flower- and bulb area around Noordwijk) to start a new hop on - hop off tour!
During the world-famous flower-exhibition Keukenhof – from 24 March – 20 May 2011 - locals and tourists staying in the Noordwijk, Noordwijkerhout and Voorhout region will be able to join a ‘Hop on - Hop off ‘ bus tour! The tour runs 4 days a week and provides easy access from the Noordwijk region to local attractions as Panorama Tulipland in Voorhout, Lisse and Keukenhof. The guided tour will take in the beautiful local bulb fields and will only cost €5,00 per person! The circle line will be operating between 10.00 am - 7.15 pm Thursday-Sunday .
The ‘Hop on - Hop off’ bus tour is initiated by Royal Beuk in co-operation with Keukenhof, Panorama Tulipland and Foundation ‘Beleef de Bollenstreek’ (Bollenstreek Experience) The initiative has been welcomed and strongly supported by the cities of Noordwijk, Noordwijkerhout, Voorhout and Lisse as well as the Convention Centres of Noordwijk and Lisse Marketing acknowledging the importance of providing easy access to local points of interest to both visitors and locals.
Managing Director Royal Beuk, Monique Beuk explains: “ The Hop on- Hop off concept is simple: a tour through the area with the possibility to hop on or hop off at stops along the route. An English speaking guide provides comment on the area and per stop you’ll be able to undergo a different Bollenstreek - experience. Whether it be a visit to the beach of Noordwijk, the centre of Noordwijkerhout or Lisse, a visit to the Panorama Tulipland or to the Keukenhof….Enjoy the many different sights of the Bollenstreek in 1 day! “
Tickets for the Hop on – Hop off bus tour cost € 5,00 per person and may be bought on the bus or in advance on line, just like reasonably priced tickets to Keukenhof and Panorama Tulipland.
Added bonus; no longer queuing at the entrance of Keukenhof or Panorama Tulipland and no more looking or paying for a parking space!
Hop on-Hop off stops will be established at major hotels in Noordwijk and Noordwijkerhout and in the city centres of Voorhout en Lisse. In 2012 the ‘Hop on-Hop off’ bus tour may also include Hillegom en Katwijk.
