Windmill Square and the Mill
Across the bridge, you get to Windmill Square, where the wooden-shoe maker shows his skills. You have wooden shoes in many varieties. In the shop you can buy them and other special Dutch souvenirs.

The famous Polder Mill from Groningen (a grain windmill) has been in the park since 1957, it originally dates from 1892. The windmill was donated by the Holland America Line. Every day a miller explains how the mill works and when there is enough wind the blades of the mill will run. This building is part of the National Heritage list. The Keukenhof Mill was fully restored in 2008.

Spring at its most beautiful!

An unprecedented wealth of spectacular floral displays planted in endless varieties, alternated with beautiful works of art. Keukenhof is unique, world famous and has been one of the most popular destinations in the Netherlands for many years now. And it has been photographed millions of times, more than any other location. The same also applies to the surrounding bulb fields as well, of course. In 2010, you will be able to experience our spring park with the audiovisual Discovery Tour. Keukenhof is therefore constantly updating itself. And you will always feel welcome here, whether you visit us on your own, with the children or as a group. Here, you can see spring in all its splendour for two whole months.
